Springfield Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Running Down Victim with Vehicle

SPRINGFIELD, MO. — Greene County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Patterson announced today that Jamey Stewart Morehouse, 43, was sentenced to 25 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for using his vehicle as a weapon to assault a victim in August 2023.
The Honorable Judge Todd Myers sentenced Morehouse following his conviction by a Greene County jury on November 18, 2025. After a two-day trial, the jury found Morehouse guilty of Assault in the First Degree, a Class A felony, and Armed Criminal Action. Judge Myers sentenced Morehouse to 20 years on the assault charge and 5 years on the armed criminal action charge, to be served consecutively.
