Springfield Woman Sentenced to Five Years in Prison for Drug and Theft Charges

SPRINGFIELD, MO. - Greene County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Patterson announced that on January 8, 2026 Candace Marie Paez Thomas was sentenced to five years in the Missouri Department of Corrections following guilty pleas in two separate felony cases. In case number 2531-CR01823-01, Thomas pleaded guilty to Trafficking Drugs in the Second Degree for possessing more than twenty milligrams of fentanyl, a class B felony, and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute Substance, a class C felony.
