Springfield Woman Sentenced to Six Years for Assaulting Deputies

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Greene County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Patterson announced today that Chantyle Nichole Brown, 34, of Springfield, was sentenced on January 14, 2026, following her guilty plea to multiple charges stemming from an assault on Greene County Sheriff's deputies and damage to jail property.

Brown pleaded guilty in Greene County Circuit Court Case No. 2531-CR01927-01 to the following charges: Assault in the Third Degree on a Special Victim, a Class D felony elevated to a Class B felony range due to persistent offender status (6 years, Missouri Department of Corrections); Assault in the Fourth Degree on a Special Victim, a Class A misdemeanor (1 year, Greene County Jail); Resisting Arrest, a Class A misdemeanor (1 year, Greene County Jail); and Damage to Jail Property, a Class E felony (4 years, Missouri Department of Corrections). All sentences will run concurrently.
